Start with the official 2026 parade plan

The Belmont Shore Business Association has scheduled the 42nd Belmont Shore Christmas Parade for Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It is free, open to all ages, and does not require a ticket or RSVP.

The organizer’s route runs east on East 2nd Street from Quincy Avenue to Bayshore Avenue, then returns west on the north side of East 2nd Street. It expects more than a dozen marching bands and about 100 entries. That return route is useful if your group plans to meet after the parade or choose where to stand.

Choose your dinner window before parking

George’s Greek Cafe is at 5316 East 2nd Street in the parade corridor. We can help with the meal plan, while the Belmont Shore Business Association controls the parade, route and street operations. Keeping those roles separate makes it clear whether to call the restaurant or check the organizer’s page.

For dinner before the parade, set the reservation time first and then work backward. East 2nd Street closes to vehicles at 4:00 PM, two hours before the parade starts. Give everyone time to park and walk rather than assuming a curbside arrival.

Dinner after the parade can work for a flexible party, but call before relying on it. The parade is scheduled to end at 9:00 PM and George’s published Saturday closing time is 10:00 PM.

• Large group: use the dedicated group path below instead of guessing that a standard reservation will fit.

Make one arrival plan for the whole group

The organizer says East Livingston closes at 3:00 PM for staging and East 2nd Street closes to traffic at 4:00 PM. It lists free parking at the beach lots along Ocean Boulevard and at Marine Stadium, but space and walking conditions are never guaranteed.

The official rideshare and Circuit dropoff points are Wells Fargo at 4601 East 2nd Street on the west end and U.S. Bank at 5430 East 2nd Street on the east end. George’s is near the east end at 5316 East 2nd Street. Choose one meeting point and a backup for late arrivals before anyone starts driving.

Match the group to the right George’s plan

Parties of up to 7 can use the standard reservation path. Groups of 8 to 17 should call George’s. Parties of 18 or more should use the large party inquiry so the team can follow up on timing and seating.
